About only 60 for each cent of the arrived turmeric was offered on Thursday.

R.K.V. Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Merchants Association claimed: “The sale of turmeric has been decreased to 60 for each cent as only medium excellent turmeric is arriving for sale. Additional, the traders have only regional need, and are waiting for the upcountry need. Some luggage of finger turmeric fetched marginally amplified selling price of ₹75 to ₹100 a quintal due to excellent excellent among the the medium wide range. The traders obtained all this kind of turmeric for their regional need.”

He claimed the arrival of turmeric for sale was at 2,500 to three,000 luggage a working day, as most of the farmers had been chaotic in their agricultural functions in Kalingarayan ayacut region due to launch of drinking water in the canal. There is no improvement in selling price at the Turmeric Futures and also no contemporary upcountry need has been received by traders.

At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association income property, finger turmeric was offered at ₹5,299 to ₹6,459 a quintal, the root wide range was offered at ₹4,889 to ₹5,689 a quintal. Of the arrival of one,495 luggage of turmeric all around 419 luggage had been offered.

At the Erode Cooperative Promoting Society, finger turmeric was offered at ₹5,011 to ₹6,399 a quintal, the root wide range at ₹4,899 to ₹5,659 a quintal. Of the 858 luggage of turmeric saved for sale, 751 luggage had been offered.
