Tea Board issues notices to factories for flouting norms

Tea Board has issued showcause notices to 16 biofertiliser and 8 instant tea factories found in different elements of South India for alleged violations of statutory prerequisites.

Four teams of board officers performed inspections and discovered a number of deviations from the Board’s laws,” Tea Board Government Director M Balaji explained.

“These units have not maintained statutory information properly. They unsuccessful to produce suitable facts on the sale of their end goods,” the ED explained.

“Their production actions had been not carried out in accordance with the terms set in their licences. Moreover, they have not filed returns properly,” he explained.
