Russia Leans on Mercenary Forces to Regain Global Clout

In Oct, dozens of armed Russian mercenaries fanned out throughout two Libyan oil ports. Introduced in by a renegade Libyan normal, they helped rebel forces wrest management of the oil-rich region from the Libyan federal government.

Just after the combating finished, a delegation of mining and oil executives from previous Soviet states arrived trying to find business with the rebels who now managed the ports, Libyan immigration data clearly show.
