New agri laws will not take your land away, PM assures farmers

Attacking the opposition from Kutch border, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday created it apparent that the govt will not go again on the a few agriculture legislations that have activated farmers’ unrest in areas of North India.

The Prime Minister tried out to assure the farmers that the new legislation will not permit some others get their land away.

Referring to the farmers camping and protesting on Delhi’s border for the previous 20 times, Modi said, “There is a conspiracy to mislead the farmers. They are currently being threatened with a bogus narrative that below the new agriculture legislation, some others will occupy their land.”

The Prime Minister was talking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a number of growth projects in Kutch.

He, having said that, reiterated his government’s intention is to guard farmers’ passions and that the a few agri legislation are in favour of growing their earnings and offering them more possibility for earnings.

‘Opposition misguiding’

“The [agriculture] legislation are the exact as the types farmer bodies have been demanding for decades. People sitting down in the opposition today and misguiding the farmers experienced supported these reforms when they ended up in power.

“But they could not do it for the duration of their tenures. Now that we have taken this landmark selection, they are deceiving the farmers,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister, who is on a visit to Kutch, recalled how the farmers in Gujarat have prospered, thanks to their horticulture, dairy and advanced farming practices.

“If a dairy contracts to buy milk from you, does it get away your cow? Or does a subzi consumer get away your assets or land?” he asked the viewers, which included farmers including some from Punjab, who have settled in Gujarat.

‘Ready to resolve’

“I want to notify my farmer friends and reiterate my intentions that we are all set to solve any of your issues. Farmers’ fascination are the major-most priority for our govt,” Modi added.

New projects

The PM laid foundation stone just about for a desalination plant at Mandvi, a entirely-automatic milk processing and packing plant at Sarhad Dairy Anjar, and the world’s biggest 30-gigawatt (GW) Hybrid Renewable Strength Park in the vicinity of Vighakot closer to the intercontinental border in Dhordo, Kutch.
