Ericsson Buys Cradlepoint for $1.1B
Swedish telecom big Ericsson has agreed to acquire Cradlepoint, a U.S. wi-fi networking enterprise, for $1.1 billion.
Ericsson said the deal was component of its 5G expansion strategies. Its blended presenting would create new revenue streams and raise returns on investments in the community, it said.
“Portfolio-in the vicinity of acquisitions are an integral component of our earlier communicated strategy. The acquisition of Cradlepoint complements our present offerings and is critical to our strategy of supporting buyers expand the price of their 5G community investments,” Ericsson main govt officer Börje Ekholm said.
Ericsson is funding the acquisition with income on hand, compensated in complete on shedding. The enterprise said its group economical targets for 2022 remain unchanged.
