AstraZeneca sued by pension fund over alleged Covid vaccine testing flaws

The retirement plan accused the company and its executives of “wrongful acts and omissions” and sought permission to sue on behalf of all traders who dropped out as a consequence of the share price tag tumble. 

Pascal Soriot, Astra’s main government, explained to Italian newspaper La Repubblica on Tuesday that the company’s companions at Oxford College had “said it was not ethical to vaccinate aged individuals until they had adequate basic safety facts in younger people”.

“Other organizations took this risk, went ahead and vaccinated older individuals a lot quicker or previously,” he mentioned. 

“But we have strong facts showing incredibly strong antibody generation from the virus in the elderly, identical to what we see in younger individuals,” he added.

AstraZeneca was contacted for remark regarding the lawsuit.
