14 States finalise action plan for agri export policy: Commerce Ministry
As many as fourteen States, which include Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu and Assam, have finalised the Condition-precise motion approach for agriculture export coverage (AEP), whilst the remaining States are at diverse phases of finalisation of their respective options, the Commerce Ministry has claimed.
Agricultural and Processed Foodstuff Items Export Growth Authority (Apeda) is engaged with all States and UTs for implementation of the AEP and has also signed MoUs with AFC India Ltd, and Countrywide Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), Delhi, to utilise their know-how in the agriculture sector, as per an official launch circulated on Tuesday.
The other States that have finalised the motion options include Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur and Sikkim.
The objective of the bigger AEP, of which the Condition options are a section, is to double farmers’ income and also double agriculture exports from the nation in excess of the next few decades.
Cluster tactic
