Church Organ at St Paul's

Console of the organ at St Pauls, Coronation Road

History

Originally installed in Christ Church Sneyd Park, the two manual organ made by W. G. Vowles of Bristol was converted into a smart three manual instrument in 1965 by Percy Daniel & Co. of Clevedon when it was moved into St. Pauls Church.  Like so many in Bristol, the building sustained severe damage during the blitz and when it was opened in 1958, a temporary organ was used until the current one replaced it.  A new choir department was added by Percy Daniel.  The console is incorporated into the organ case, and the action is electro-pneumatic.
