Interest in Explore continues to grow. Several titles have been booked for the autumn and inquires have been received for next spring. If you have a group that is considering the possibility of making a request it might be a good idea to register this with Stella O'Brien as she is keeping the list of who is using which title and when. Stella also has further copies of the information pack. (email stella.obrienbristoldiocese.org )
If you are interested in an Explore title, but are not sure that you
have a big enough group for the tutors to come to you, do mention this in meetings with your colleagues since a group may be formed with other parishes or ecumenical partners. Alternatively let Stella know as it may be possible to run some titles at a central venue.
Further Explore titles are still being developed. If you would like to talk about any aspect of Explore then contact George Rendell. (email george.rendellbristoldiocese.org )
Harvest Resources
A resource pack (mostly worship resources) for the celebration of Harvest Festival is available from the Arthur Rank Centre.
Dr Jill Hopkinson, National Rural Officer for the C of E, is based at
the Arthur Rank Centre, a charity partnership working for the church in rural areas. She points out that 'Harvest' will coincide with British Food Fortnight (18 September to 3 October), and says "Historically the Church has played a key role in reinforcing the connection between people and the land through the Harvest Festival. We are encouraging churches to build on this strength and connect with the growing focus among many organisations on the benefits to health and our own economyfrom the production and consumption of British food".
Seeds of Potential: Christian Aid Harvest Appeal
Harvest Resources are also available from Christian Aid. Call the
Christian Aid office or visit the website for more details. Your Reader will be sent a page about Harvest from Christian Aid in the next few days in the Reader Mailing. The Christian Aid website is www.christianaid.org.uk

The Christ We Share - Resource update
Produced by CMS, USPG and the Methodist Church it includes a collection of images of Christ and some ideas for use. I am told that 'Christ we Share' is now available with a CD (instead of the acetates of the images included in the 'first edition' of this pack) - this has all the images/PowerPoint presentation with music too. The whole pack is £15, and you can also get the CD by itself to go with an existing pack for £5 (+ P&P added to both prices) - one source is salescms-uk.org, 020 7803 3376.
