WITH HEART TO GOD
The carolling season brings our band onto the streets of Bedminster to point praising hearts to God. Look out for us in East Street each Saturday in December. Through the year we encourage children in The Way with an open door to our Jesus And Me (JAM) Club. Salvation Army Youth (SAY) also meet regularly and they link in with the youth scene across our army. We like to join with the other Bedminster congregations at Eastertime, and the summer is an opportunity for open-air work.

What goes on at the Salvation Army?

What do you do between 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock in the evening on Sundays?

For me there's not much on the telly and I look forward to spending this hour with friends in Bedminster.

It's a free timeshare! Yes it costs nothing and I sometimes take home with me something that is priceless.

As an organisation you will find us helping with disasters across the world, visiting people in prisons and hospitals, caring for the homeless, giving refuge for victims of abuse and violence and now asking you to share an hour with us here in Bedminster.

We are from all walks of life, a builder & decorator, teacher, bank workers, office clerks, postal worker, accountant, paramedic, nurses, retired, unemployed, young, not so young and elderly.

At our Sunday evening meetings we are here to share our human experiences with each other, to help where we can in our community in Bedminster, and to enjoy the Salvation Message.

We have a Silver Band with a compliment of 18 musicians. Ever thought that you would like to play an instrument? We will teach you free of charge. Practice nights are Thursdays, juniors from 7pm to 8pm and seniors from 8pm until 9.30pm.

We have a choir and are always on the look out for vocalists; practice nights are Wednesdays at 8pm.

Sunday evenings are a time for Community Singing, to be entertained by the Band and Choir, to find some time for quiet prayer, to feel the true experience of the power of God's love, then have a cup of tea. Afterwards you can go home and reflect upon how you feel! We hope you will want to come back.

Be assured that you will always be welcome!

See you on Sunday?
